Shroud of Light

Pendulum cracking the distance of course voices
shearing over rusted nails.
Immersed aqua sky her nebulous Sistine grace poised
beneath a roaring freeway intersection.
Breathtaking incision of a motley stilt walking
a gasp interwoven
with chilled wisps of peach down,
a petunia rimmed lip pouting and trembling
beneath a surface of neon constellations.
batteries running low
Shocked ripping laughter, eye lashes limp
curtailing rush of heeled footsteps
black clad euphoria
fierce bat wing propelling
peppermint drowsiness
under your hibiscus layered,
prodded shroud of light.
an eyeball twitches under my fingernail
Grasp my minute hand tenderly and raw as little daisies sink beneath your brow,
clasping a hint of blood as sore rosebud fingertips
shimmer and gape with tremors
and antique rings of caressing shadows are speckled beneath a creaking chandelier.
